CiviClick – Campus Navigation App
CiviClick is a mobile-first navigation app designed to help students, visitors, and staff efficiently explore complex university campuses and buildings. Originally developed for the University of San Carlos – Talamban Campus (USC-TC).
01. The Problem
Navigating complex university campuses like USC-TC can be daunting for new students and visitors. Traditional static maps often lack the depth required for indoor floor-level guidance or real-time directional clarity.
02. Architecture & Solution
Implemented a modular Android (Java) architecture supporting interactive campus maps and room-level video guidance. Built an "Offline First" system where all assets (maps, markers, videos) are locally embedded. Features zoomable static maps, from-to building routing with animated overlays, and building-level floor navigation (pilot for Bunzel Building).
03. Impact
Provides a scalable framework for cross-campus navigation. Successfully implemented room-level guidance for the Bunzel Building with a roadmap for SAFAD, LRC, and multi-university rollout.
